A triflex R fibre-rod consists of a specific number of triflex R chain links that are reinforced on the inside by 2 glass fibre rods. The fibreglass rods provide pretension within the chain links.
On one side of a fibre-rod module, the fibreglass rods are fitted with rounded heads to prevent them from moving within the chain links. On the other side of the fibre-rod module there are 5 chain links, which are rigidly connected to each other by means of a thread. The fibreglass rods can move within this thread to compensate for the relative movements to each other when the fibre-rod module moves.
Ideally, the spring rods are installed on a universal assembly kit, which is mounted above the robot.
