igubal EBRM FC – rod ends with female thread for the food and pharmaceutical industries
The igubal EBRM FC plastic rod ends of the E dimensional series, with clipped-in spherical ball and female thread, offer an attractive alternative to conventional metal rod ends. They compensate for misalignments and edge loads and are used wherever FDA and EU 10/2011 compliance is important for transmitting dynamic forces in pivoting, tilting and rotating movements. Thanks to their lightweight design and the absence of external lubricants, they are a hygienic and maintenance-free choice for a wide variety of applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Here they represent a cost-effective alternative to stainless steel rod ends. Our plastics are equipped with solid lubricants that are released in microscopic quantities over time. This allows for low-friction dry operation between the shaft and the spherical ball, making relubrication with expensive, food-compliant lubricants unnecessary.
Shaft diameter, thread type and spherical ball material can be selected, with iglidur A181, FC180 and stainless steel available. The housing material is made of igumid FC, a magnetically and optically detectable polymer, which is suitable for temperatures from -30°C to +100°C and can withstand short-term temperatures of up to +140°C.
Our rod ends are used in various industries to transmit dynamic forces in pivoting, tilting and rotating movements. You can use our igubal expert system to ensure that the rod ends are optimally matched to the individual requirements of a specific application. This system draws on data determined in the igus laboratory and makes it possible to obtain a customised recommendation for the respective application.
